About City Bowl Express

City Bowl Express is a chinese restaurant in Oxnard, California. It is listed at 3551 Saviers Rd, Oxnard, CA 93033, which places it among the local businesses of Oxnard that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Oxnard; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 10:30 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (805) 483-0928. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 250 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Oxnard and suggests consistent service.

Oxnard is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Oxnard is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Love this express Chinese Food place. I have been here a handful of times and everytime the food has been great! Similar ordering set up as Panda Express. You walk down the line and pick out what entrees you want for your combo plate or bowl. I am a huge fan of their BBQ Pork and fried with head-on shrimp. I like that you have a choice between white rice, fried rice, pancit or lo mein. Lots of options! They also offer a fresh juice menu. Super nice employees. There is inside seating with a bunch of little quarter games you can play while waiting on any of the menu items to get refilled. Parking is super easy because there is a big lot. You can pay with cash or card.

I order a 2 sides combo and a side of veggie egg rolls! The lady gave me really small portions of left over chicken and i ask for a little more rice and if I could wait to get more chicken fresh. She was not happy and said wait to long for your.I told her ok charge me.She charge me 19.00$ dollars for that plus the hot sauce.πŸ™„stingy place and rude.

I don't often photograph my food but this was the first time I have found a place that had food as fun as it was to look at, as it was to eat. I absolutely had to share it. The food itself is better than any other Chinese food kitchens around. Im picky when it comes to spicy foods and there is a balance of flavor and heat found here that makes it difficult not to eat the entire plate in one sitting. I will definitely frequent often.
